Jun. 6th, 2005 09:18 pmYesterday (as you may have gathered--and I'm not going to apologise for my incomprehensibility) was the one-year anniversary of Avery and me. It's odd, celebrating each month with letters or piercings, and suddenly starting the celebration at a one.
One.
One year, and every second has been different but no matter how bad some of them have been they've all lead up to this potential for neverending good. Every day proves that we're unbreakable, has proved that always and forever isn't going to be beyond our reach at all.
Today is Jake and Avery's eleven-month anniversary. They're so close, and I'm excited for them not only for today, but for the closeness of their next month too. I love watching them almost as much as I love being there as a part of the pile. Today's their day, though, and I get to watch.
I painted today.
Oh, and there's a puppy without a name at my feet. She's smaller than my shoe, and white. She belongs to Avery and to all of us, and I promised her a year ago.
That is all.
